Social media companies have somehow built a system where a mob can scream slurs all day, but the person who says, “Hey, maybe stop being a bigot,” gets escorted from the building. Then the algorithm sends three contradictory emails like a drunk HR department trying to operate a guillotine. This is exactly why creators need platforms they actually own. Followers are rented land. Email lists and paid subscribers are the small patch of ground where Zuckerberg cannot suddenly decide your livelihood violated community standards before breakfast.
I am banned from all Meta platforms, specifically for pushing back on bible thumper & MAGAt conspiracy drivel. Meta labeled it “suspicious activity”, and that was it.
That sucks, they’re stupid & fuck no, you can’t have my ID & biometric data! Good for you & hell yes, deconstruct the BIble! My grandfather was a Lutheran minister/missionary in China where my mother was born & i had to go to church every sunday till i graduated from high school & went to an out of town college & stopped going to church. Everyone has a right to their own opinion but the Bible scared the shit out of me & was violent, confusing & sexist IMHO.
Keep writing - the Bible as I know it at least NEEDS to be deconstructed!
That sounds like a whole ordeal-damn! If Christians actually READ the bible, there would be fewer of them. Instead of reading it, they only know what the preacher tells them it says, as he passes the collection plate.
Very interesting. I often wonder about mass account reports when encountering accounts like the ones you mentioned, especially when you're expressing a different opinion.
My question is, does the risk of being banned influence how you plan to phrase your wording and responses in the future, or would you rather risk another ban than censor yourself or tiptoe around what you truly want to say?
I think I'll just be a bit more careful with the insults and using certain words. Leaning more into exposing absurdity and less into back-and-forths with them, if that makes sense.
Thanks for your posts here on Substack. I’m kind of new here since I’ve only been a user of this excellent platform for independent media since early this year. That being said, I have really appreciated your views as I too am an atheist ‘in the Bible Belt’. However, I think you’re asking too much for a paid subscription. My comparison only includes the others in my feed, but yours is higher than any of them. Maybe you can ‘charge less and make it up in volume’. Best of luck on this and all the other platforms.

Bluesky is still a decent site. I think you’d mostly find likeminded people there.
I need to go there more!

“Suspicious activity?” WTF does that mean????
I couldn’t get any answers and there was no option to appeal. They did request my ID and biometric data. I declined.

Hi Seth,
I think I'll just be a bit more careful with the insults and using certain words. Leaning more into exposing absurdity and less into back-and-forths with them, if that makes sense.
Yep, makes total sense, brother.

Thank you, Doug!
