Maybe John'ny is obsessed with SHIT because he's So Happy It's Thursday!
FYI - I'm a huge sports fan, too: I was born in Chicago and so I was shackled into fandom by the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks. I long ago moved to the West Coast, but those born-in loyalties remain. Sports are our substitute for an irrational faith community. We keep believing in the possibility of championships despite all available evidence, maintain belief in ridiculous superstitions, and join in rituals and chanting to affect the outcome. But it's a fun idiocy, isn't it? Plus, unlike religion, in sports we sometimes actually get to witness the miracles. I experienced the 1985 Bears and the 2016 Cubs.
That 2016 Cubs World Series was INSANE!! It's funny when people say that my entire life revolves around atheism because I spend a lot more time watching sports than posting about my lack of belief in gods lol
